Features:

BRT-K390A is a DC occupancy sensor switch which utilizes passive infrared (PIR) sensor to detect the heat (in the form of infrared energy) from people moving within a space. It can determine when a space is occupied and turns on or turns off the loads that work with IR remote controllers. BRT-K390A replaces the traditional IR remotes to achieve smart automatic control for energy saving. Our BRT-K390A uses a proprietary signal processing technique to avoid false triggers.

Operation Guide:

1. Adjust Detection Sensitivity: when BRT-K390A is powered on, the indicator light will flash in red for 8 times and then flash in another color for twice(this color indicates the PIR detection sensitivity, please refer to the following look-up table for the sensitivity VS indicator light color. Rotate the fine turning screw with a screw driver to adjust sensitivity ;

2. Adjust the delay off time: The 4 dip switches are used to set the delay off time to 8 settings based on different combinations. Fig. 6 shows all the dip switches are in “off” positions. Each combination corresponds to a delay off setting.

      0000 delay off time = 2 minutes
      1000 delay off time = 2 minutes
      0100 delay off time = 5 minutes
      1100 delay off time = 10 minutes
      0010 delay off time = 15 minutes
      1010 delay off time = 20 minutes
      0110 delay off time = 25 minutes
      1110 delay off time = 30 minutes
      0 = off and 1 = on

3. Learn the IR remote control codes: Please refer to the following steps to have BRT-K390A PIR remote control learn and memorize the IR control codes from IR remote controls sets of appliances.

a. Press and hold the ON button for about 2 seconds until the light is constantly on in blue, the blue light will keep on for about 15 seconds. Please learn the code within this 15 seconds, or code learning fails.

b. Point the regular IR remote control kit of appliance to the PIR lens, and start to press”ON” button of the IR remote control kit. If the buzzer of the Air Conditioner sounds “Dee” for twice and the indicator light flash in green for 3 times, it means learning code successfully. If indicator light flash in red for 3 times, it means code learning fails.Pls relearn the code according to the above process.

c. After the indicator light flash in green for 3 times, please short press the ON button within 15 seconds to save the code. If fail to save the code, you must relearn the code according to above steps.
d. After saving the “ON” code, please follow the above steps to learn and save the “OFF” code.
e. If both the “ON” code and “OFF” code are learned successfully, you can turn on/off the air conditioner with the “ON” and “OFF” button of the PIR.

4. Delete the IR remote control codes: Press the “ON” or “OFF”code, the light will be constantly on in blue, release the button after the light flashes 6 timers and the IR codes are deleted successfully.

5. Set Administrator Mode(if powered with battery, this mode is not recommended): The PIR is set to administrator mode at factory and the DIP switch 4 is set in “off” position. Users can control the on/off of PIR function. Only when administrator turn on the PIR function, can it begin to detect movement and turn on the air conditioner automatically. When set the DIP switch 4 in “on” position, it is change to auto control mode. After a 2-min warm up time(when warm up time count down to the last 30S, the LED will illuminate in purple). The PIR will keep detecting movement, and turn on air conditioner whenever movement detected.

3. Learn IR Remote Control Codes: Please refer to the following steps to have BRT-K390A PIR remote control learn and memorize IR control codes of IR remote control sets of devices.

A. Press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds until the light is constantly on in blue, the blue light will stay on for about 15 seconds. Please learn the code within these 15 seconds, or the code learning fails.

B. Point the regular IR remote control kit of the appliance at the PIR lens, and start pressing the "ON" button of the IR remote control kit. If the buzzer of the air conditioner rings twice and the indicator light flashes green for 3 times, it means the code is saved successfully. If the indicator light flashes red for 3 times, it means the code learning fails. Relearn the code according to the above process.

C. After the indicator light flashes green for 3 times, please short press the power button within 15 seconds to save the code. If you do not save the code, you need to relearn the code according to the above steps.

D. After saving the “ON” code, please follow the above steps to learn and save the “OFF” code.
E. If the “ON” code and “OFF” code are learned successfully, you can turn on/off the air conditioner with the “on” and “off” button of the PIR.

4. Delete IR Remote Control Codes: Press the “ON” or “OFF” code, the light will be constantly on in blue, release the button after the light flashes 6 timers, and the IR codes are deleted successfully.

5. Set Admin Mode (if powered by battery, this mode is not recommended): The PIR is set to admin mode at the factory, and the DIP switch 4 is set to “off” position. Users can control the on/off of the PIR function. Only when the administrator turns on the PIR function, can it start to detect motion and turn on the air conditioner automatically. When you set the DIP switch 4 to “on” position, it is changed to automatic control mode. After 2min warm-up time (when the warm-up time counts up to 30S, the LED will light up in purple). The PIR will continue to detect motion and turn on the air conditioner whenever motion is detected.
