DETECTOR WITH DOUBLE TENT TECHNOLOGY
The AE / IRMT detector is a curtain sensor for perimeter protection of doors, windows and windows; uses different technologies (infrared and microwave) combined with each other in order to optimize the detection of
intrusion into protected areas; It is suitable for outdoor applications, such as between window and shutter or shutter, ensuring high reliability and a high degree of immunity to false alarms. The detector creates an invisible curtain with a reduced size, and has a sensitivity adjustment for both the infrared section and the micro-wave section. The AE / IRMT dual technology detector consists of a Fresnell infrared sensor and a microwave sensor:
- the infrared section is composed of a double element pyroelectric and low noise, temperature compensated and protected against radio-frequency disturbances and noise generated by white light.
- the microwave section is a Doppler effect detector generated by a planar antenna (strip-line).
The microwave section is constantly turned off, it is activated only when the infrared section detects a movement; if, in this phase, the microwave also detects a presence, an alarm output is activated. The detector is made in a container with IP34 protection rating, and is self-protected against opening.

NOTES FOR CORRECT INSTALLATION
Before installing the AE / IRMT detector, it is important to remember that:
- The detector, when powered, has a stabilization time of about 1 minute, to indicate that the detector is ready to work, wait for the three LEDs to light up for a moment,
before carrying out detection tests.
- Position the detector in a maximum height of 2 meters, or at the height allowed by the window to be protected.
- Always position the detector on the upper side of the window both on the right and on the left side of the window. See example on the side.
- The microwave is constantly inhibited, it is activated at each detection of the infrared section; the intervention of the microwave within 3 seconds from its activation generates an alarm- The AE / IRMT sensor is sensitive to the crossing and NOT to the approach.
- To fix the detector, remove the circuit avoiding touching the pyroelectric sensor and the strip-line with your hands, in order not to subject them to electrostatic discharges; open the predispositions on the
bottom of the container to fix the screws.
